Academy
Training podiatrists from the basics and advancing professional qualifications.
Orthopodo Academy – a place where podiatrists grow in experience
Orthopodo Center & Academy by Oksana Holovko is a space for people who want to consciously build their professional path in podiatry—from the very first steps to working with more demanding cases. We combine solid theory, hands-on practice with real patients, and an approach based on biomechanics and orthopedic podiatry.
We create small, intimate training sessions where the instructor has time for each participant, and participants have time to understand why they perform each step—not just to “follow a pattern.” All of this so that after the training, you feel more confident in the clinic and work safely.
🎓 Who is the Academy for?
- for people who are just starting their journey in podiatry and want solid foundations,
- for practicing podiatrists who want to systematize their knowledge and improve their qualifications,
- for people who feel that “something is missing” between course theory and real work with patients,
What do the trainings at the Academy look like?
1. Modules from the basics
Basic training courses are designed for people who are just starting out. Step by step, we cover foot anatomy, the most common problems, principles of safe work with tools, treatment protocols, and patient communication. We place strong emphasis on practice—from the first contact with a patient to a complete podiatric procedure.
2. Advanced and specialized modules
For those with experience, we offer training focused on specific topics, including work with difficult nails, complex skin conditions, diabetic patients, pain management, combining podiatry with orthopedic podiatry, and cooperation with other specialists.
3. Working with real cases
Academy participants work with real patients under the constant supervision of an instructor. This allows them to see how theoretical knowledge translates into practice, learn how to respond to real-life clinic situations, not just textbook examples. This element most often builds confidence in everyday work.
4. Mentoring and post-training support
After the training, we do not leave participants on their own. There is an option for individual consultations and case discussions from clinical practice. Additionally, we run a group support chat where questions can be asked and experiences shared. Our goal is for knowledge to be implemented, not just “checked off.”
What sets Orthopodo Academy apart?
- a combination of a podiatric perspective,
- working with real cases rather than “textbook” ones,
- small groups where everyone has space to ask questions,
- practical materials that help immediately implement insights in the clinic,
- an instructor who actively works with patients on a daily basis—not just a “theory-only” trainer.
Frequently Asked Questions
I don’t have much experience — is the Academy right for me?
Yes. The Academy offers both beginner and advanced training. At the introductory level, we guide you step by step through the fundamentals of podiatry, with a strong focus on practice, safety, and understanding the “why” behind each stage of the procedure.
Will I receive a certificate after the training?
Yes. After completing each training, you will receive a personalized certificate confirming participation in the given module. Additionally, we encourage you to bring questions and cases from your own practice—so the certificate reflects real development, not just attendance.
Will we work with patients during the training?
In practical trainings, yes—working with real patients is included under the constant supervision of an instructor. This allows you to immediately practice procedures, ask questions “live,” and see how theory works in reality. For some theoretical trainings, the foundation is case presentations and analysis of photos and documentation.
